In the Bulgarian language and literature classes for students from grades 3-6, our Academy focuses on the development of students' language skills and understanding of Bulgarian literature.

Учебната програма има за цел да подобри уменията им в четенето, слушането, говоренето и писането, както и да запознае учениците с различни литературни произведения и жанрове.
Ето основните области, които нашите ученици обикновено изучават по български език и литература в тези класове:

Reading Comprehension: 

Students learn and practice reading a variety of texts, including stories and poems. They develop skills in understanding, analyzing and interpreting context, as well as identifying key ideas, main characters and story elements.

Vocabulary and Grammar: Students expand their vocabulary and learn about different word forms, parts of speech, sentence structure and grammar rules. They work on building correct and connected sentences as well as improving their spelling and punctuation.
Writing Skills: Students develop their writing skills through different types of writing assignments, such as narratives, descriptive texts, letters and essays. They learn to express their thoughts clearly, organize their ideas and use appropriate language conventions.

Literary Analysis: Students explore Bulgarian literature by studying selected works, including both classic and contemporary works. They learn about prominent Bulgarian authors, their contribution to literature, the historical and cultural context of their works. Students discuss and analyze characters, themes, literary devices, and the overall meaning of texts.
Oral Communication: Students participate in discussions, presentations, and public speaking to improve their speaking skills. They learn how to express their opinions, listen carefully and participate effectively in conversations.

Poetry and Rhyme: Students explore different forms of poetry, including rhymes and rhythms. They learn about different poetic devices and techniques and may even have the opportunity to compose their own poems.

Bulgarian Culture and History: The curriculum often includes aspects of Bulgarian culture, traditions and history to provide a broader understanding of the language and literature. Students can learn about notable Bulgarian personalities, folklore, traditions and significant historical events.
