Mathematics (7th grade)

The 7th grade math curriculum often includes:

Number system: properties of natural numbers, whole numbers, fractions, decimals and their operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). Students can be expected to solve problems involving these number systems.

Algebra: introduction to algebraic expressions, solving simple linear equations and inequalities. Students can learn about concepts such as variables, coefficients, constants, and terms.

Geometry: basic concepts of plane and solid geometry, including angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, circles, polygons and 3D shapes. Topics may also cover line properties, line segments, and their relationships.

Measurement: units of length, area, volume, weight, and time. Students may be required to convert between different units and solve problems involving perimeter, area, and volume.
Data Analysis and Probability: Organizing and interpreting data using tables, charts, and graphs.

Students can also learn about probability concepts such as outcomes, events, and basic probability calculations.
